Career Keys Mentoring Project

The project is an early intervention and prevention project, focusing on family support through the minimisation and prevention of: family dysfunction, social exclusion, domestic violence, child abuse and school truancy. Tertiary Mentor Program

The students, as recipients of the Learning for Life educational scholarships, are from disadvantaged backgrounds so most do not have access to professional networks or even know anyone who has experience with further study. The support and advice of a mentor who has experienced University/TAFE study and is now working in the student's chosen field can make all the difference. The mentor provides support and encouragement, educational and career advice if needed, access to professional networks and opportunites to liaise with those employed in the student's field of study. VSMP (Volunteer Support Mentoring Program)

The VSMP aims to establish and maintain positive, trusting, long term mentoring friendships between adult volunteers and children and young people in the foster care system. The VSMP was established to address the often unmet needs of children and young people in the foster care system: to have a consistent, caring adult to stay with them throughout their journey through the care system; to have increased access to recreational activities; to have a positive role model; and to have individual attention. Young Artsworker Mentoring Program

In 2010, YAMP stands for Young Artsworkers Mentoring Program and is open to young and emerging producers, curators, arts administrators and marketers, events and technical coordinators, lighting and sound designers and other cultural workers of up to 30 years of age. Seven places are available this year - five for artsworkers who propose their own mentors and twho in technical coordination and lighting - and we invite applications from artsworkers from across Queensland.
